I believe the more we sing other author's songs, the more we feel the need to sing our own. This is the starting point for the disc, whose goal is mainly to provide joy and will to sing for whomever hears it. To produce this record and to accompany the whole project since it's birth is the musician Paulo Cavaco (who accompanies me at the piano since ever) and the musician, composer and singer Paulo de Carvalho, a great friend for whom I have the deepest respect both as a musician and as a human being. From this point on, we started composing and collecting authors and composers we thought were indispensable for the disc. In the recording process we chose the musicians and technicians we thought were ideal for our project. "ConTradições" was the name that seemed to epitomize best what we were trying to do -- the fusion between electronic and traditional music, paired with Portuguese traditions.
