Initially when we got to know about North Shadows Records project to produce a digital compilation to somehow help the Portuguese Firefighters in this case more precisely Bombeiros Voluntários de Monchique, we as a Portuguese band, where very happy about the idea, and to be able to contribute. 2018 was coming to an end, and just the year before on a road trip to the north of the country to play a couple of concerts, we here terrified as on a hot sunny summer afternoon we saw flames coming near the road we where traveling. Every year is the same but recently it´s got worst and more televised. We in recent years at the comfort of our homes witnessed on TV the drama of the victims who lost their homes, the people who lost their lives, the families who lost all in the blink of an eye. We all saw how the brave Portuguese firefighters fought battle after battle. As life must go on every year is the same, the summer goes through, but this fall 2018 we where as a band thinking on which track to contribute to this endearing project. We went to studio, demoed some new songs, but in the end we just decided that "Prayer" from our first EP "Love Will Keep us Together" was lyrically and tonally perfect for the drama Portugal lives every summer. It´s a great feeling to be able to contribute to such a good and honourable cause.
