Throes + The Shine are back and with them comes a new single. It’s called “Capuca” and is a collaboration with Congo born and Canadian based musician Pierre Kwenders. It blends melodies that derive from western electronic pop music, vocals that blend Angola’s fierce kuduro style with infectious Congolese chanting and rhythms more akin to Colombia’s cumbia dance music. It’s a breath of fresh air for the band and just one of the first spellbinding songs that will come out of their upcoming third record that will come out in May, through Discotexas/Universal/!K7.
